The loss of biodiversity and climate change are accelerating rapidly. Our dietary habits and the associated agriculture and fishing practices contribute significantly to this. These environmental changes, in turn, affect agriculture and food security. How can we protect biodiversity and the climate while also securing food supplies? What technical, economic and social innovations do we need to achieve this? The Leibniz Lab ‘Systemic Sustainability’ is investigating these questions. It integrates knowledge of the Leibniz Association and societal actors in order to find joint solutions to one of the great challenges of our time.
